New Voice-Interactive Storybook App Helps Kids Enjoy Reading
FamLoops AGENT MAGIC Asks Kids Questions, Gets Answers
Storybook app leader FamLoop released the first ever voice-interactive iPad storybook with a mystery twist on June 13. Designed for children ages 4-6, AGENT MAGIC INVESTIGATES: Punky Dunk and the Goldfish uses an early literacy storytelling approach called dialogic reading, which has been shown to improve kids reading comprehension and vocabulary. Whats more, this cutting edge storybook app records kids (often hilarious) replies for you to share with friends and family.
In AGENT MAGIC INVESTIGATES, an animated mouse becomes a story companion who encourages kids to answer questions, which are recorded through the iPad, as they embark on an animated storybook mystery adventure. The built-in sharing feature enables parents to post their favorite recordings via e-mail and Facebook, as well as through Family Connect, the private family sharing network.
We were inspired by the time-honored family storytime, adding voice prompts that kids are used to from their favorite TV shows, and reimagined the reading experience for digital childrens storybooks on the iPad, explains Ken Law, CEO of FamLoop. Our goal is to enhance reading comprehension while adding more fun to the storytelling experience.
AGENT MAGIC INVESTIGATES storybook app and Family Connect are available through FamLoop.com and the iTunes store.
Looks intriguing! Way to go! I look forward to learning more about your software. :-)
