Power Up Your Family Storytime
FamLoop Storybook Apps Bring Families Together
Imagine if your child?s favorite stories could talk, ?listen,? encourage your kids? creativity, help them learn to read — and share with you whether you?re home or not. FamLoop is on the forefront of reinventing Family Storytime using new technology that makes stories interactive, educational, and entertaining. They?re not just ebooks; they?re interactive appBooks that connect the family in both traditional and new ways.
FamLoop?s interactive storybook apps feature animation, interactive and educational activities such as puzzles and drawing, and a non-linear storytelling experience that allows your children to explore the parts of the story that most interest them. Some FamLoop interactive storybook apps allow family members to ask questions as characters, such as a Munchkin in Oz, while others include characters that point out interesting things in the story. eryom.com
??? ?With the introduction of new technology, the way we enjoy stories is going to change, but it will still fulfill the basic need to share, interact, and learn,? says Ken Law, CEO of FamLoop, the creators of the FamLoop storybook apps. FamLoop is based on the principles of Love+Play+Learn, powering up Family Storytime with time-honored storytelling and exciting new technology.
Some of the latest storybook apps from FamLoop include:
-
Color & Share (Ages preschool and up): Invites kids to color in their favorite characters from 16 beloved children?s stories. Using Family Connect, your kids? artwork can be shared with parents and other family members for real-time feedback.
- Agent Magic Investigates: Punky Dunk and the Goldfish (Ages 3-4): The first ever voice interactive iPad storybook with a mystery twist. Uses dialogic reading, an early literacy storytelling approach scientifically proven to improve reading comprehension and vocabulary skills. Can record your children?s (often hilarious) replies to the characters. (Available June 11)
- Oz Tales (Ages 5 and up): In this modern take of the classic tale, kids can control characters and immerse themselves in the story. Parents can act as characters, who ask kids questions. (Available in late June)
The storybook apps and Family Connect are available in the iTunes Store and through FamLoop.com.
